I found this site from Todd Harrison's column on RealMoney.com and spend the better part of an hour amazed at
the wealth of family and friends that Joel has. I also paused for a moment to reflect on my own mortality, and
found reason to go forth and squeeze the most from each day. While I was not fortunate to know Joel personally,
He will live forever in your memories...

I found this site through Todd Harrison, who wrote "do something Joel" today in his diary. I clicked
on the link and have been here for a couple of hours now, learning about the closeness of this family and the amazing
qualities of Joel. I will be back to visit the site often as I see a great benefit in being reminded of the important
things in life. Thank You

Dear Joel; Yesterday, at Ararat, it just seemed so unfair to be able to visit you there after visiting my dad
- so unjust - then I had to remind myself that you aren't there any more than he is> and where your souls are
you now pray for us. It doesn't make the pain of knowing you're both gone or missing you go away. But being able
to read thru this site and see how many people did really get to know the real you eases it. Vic and I think and
speak of you often. Miss you!

I surf by this website more times than I can remember. Once in awhile I'll submit a note or just jot down my
thoughts. This website has an incredible magnetism that I can only credit to Joel's spirit, that may have only
been around for a short while yet burned bright while it was here on earth. Seeing his face reminds me of the incredible
amount of potential some people have and never get a chance to live out. For those of us that don't live everyday
to the fullest, and lose sight of the potential we all have, we should be ashamed of ourselves. I plead guilty
as well. I will try and never forget how precious life is and how it may only be loaned to us for a short while,
so make the best of it. Jill, Ricky, G-d bless you for the everlasting memorial you built here for your buddy,
best friend and brother. It reaches more people than you'll ever know. You are one of a kind Bean!

I am a friend of Joel's from Syracuse. Seeing pictures on the screen of us from spring break, first seder and
graduation brought back so many memories of the laughs and special times we all shared with Joel. I found myself
staring at them for quite awhile! He was a wonderful friend, full of warmth and fun, and I see from all I have
just read that he never changed a bit. He went on to build a successful life for himself, giving so much to the
many lives he touched. I am particularly moved by the incredible closeness he had with his family, especially his
brother and sister Jill and Ricky. I have three children of my own now and I truly hope that they will share the
intense closeness and loving relationship with one another that the three of you share. Although I had not seen
Joel for many years, I can close my eyes and see his smile and hear his laugh. This site was truly a wonderful
way to catch up with him. Thank you.

I did not know you. I was referred to your web site by an attorney who worked on the other side of a transaction
with me. He knew of you and spoke highly of you. As I sit at my desk working, I have read about you and the many
kind things others had to say, saw pictures of your short life and I have become sad -- because you are no longer
with us. You must have been a wonderful person and I am sorry I never got to meet you. I do, however, believe that
this world is a better place because of you. You have touched so many in life and in death. I am sorry for your
family and friends -- they must miss you terribly. Life is not fair. Your memory will live on forever.

Joel: I just ran into Ricky tonight (17 yrs. to the day we last saw one another) and all the memories of you,
Jill, Ricky, and me and my brother at "Aunt Jennette's"= my grandma's house in the Woodlands in Tamarac
rushed through me like a freight train and like it was yesterday. I'm so sorry so much time passed before we could
rekindle the fun times we spent together in Florida, and that we never got to see one another again. I hope to
see Ricky, Jill and your Mommy very soon. For sure, you know we'll be thinking off you. My Family sends you all
the best. Please say hello to my Grandma, and Grandpa Mike. I miss them so much and the fun times we used to share.

I have visited this site so many times myself and am always moved to tears. I have meant for so long to make
an entrybut being way behind the times am just getting up on line myself. I worked at rwp for 12 years and always
tell everyone that those were some of the best years with some of the best people. I am an advid greeting card
sender. I love to send cards to everyone for all occasions. I always sent Joel holiday cards and birthday cards
as I did many people at rwp. But NOBODY ever gave me the response Joel did. He would ALWAYS made such a big deal
that I remembered him. You would think what I did. Just a little card..... but that is one of the special things
I remember about Joel. Having lost a brother myself almost three years ago in a car accident, I can say in all
honesty I know the pain and makes me feel a connection to the Pollacks. I miss my brother everyday as I know Jill
& Ricky do but memories are the keeper of the flame. My brother left behind three children who keep him close
in our hearts. Joel didn't get the chance to leave a legacy as wonderful as children but this is something else!!
Ken, Jackie, Jill & Rick, lots of love to you all.

better with your lessons in tow...and I encourage everyone who reads this to 'do something Joel' each day. Be nice
to a stranger, give your mother a compliment, do a good deed for no reason, put yourself out, tell a funny joke
just because, and treat people in your lives (the garage attendent, the woman at the cleaners, et al)with respect.

Jill: It's been almost two weeks since I logged into Joel's website and it's taken me until now to temper my
initial feelings and write. Both Clare and I were much moved after scrolling down your family pictures, reading
the descriptions, and then your observations to the court. I could almost sense the pain you felt, that was all
the more intense because of the marvelously inseparable closeness you and your brothers shared. I realized there
was much to Jill than just that cheerful, ebullient young lady playing 'Barbie doll', with my grand- daughter,
Ilana. I'm glad we got to know you and look forward to your coming to many, many more happy occasions. Seeya soon.

friends and move on it is hard to remember those from the past. This website is an incredible tribute to a wonderful

Hey Bro, Living a 1/2 block away from you on 76th Street for years - here are just a few things that I miss:
Calling 5th dimension for a movie and chilling out at my place to watch it. Me rollerblading by your apartment
on my way home and calling you from my cell phone to look out your window and watch me pass doing something silly.
The conversations would end by you mooning me from your window. Ring and run. Throwing pebbles at your window to
annoy you at all times. Working out with me in my building then hitting the hot tub to relax and just rap out.
One day we will live a 1/2 block from each other again! Miss you and love you, Ricky

I never knew Joel, but had occasion to meet and know his father. If Joel's love for others, consideration, kindness,
respectablity is any reflection of his father's then he was truly a shining light in a very dark world. Although
I never met him I too shall miss the light that he shed, as he cheered the hearts of all he knew. Thank you Kenny
for sending me to this site. May God heal all the many wounds Joel's death caused. May He bless all who knew Joel
so that His name, not Joel's will be lifted up. That will be the greatest tribute to Joel. Again, God bless.

Joel story, One night when we were all home from college Joel, Gary, Doug and I went to 107 North ( a club on
Long Island) needless to say we had a few cocktails, the next thing we know Gary is getting carried out of the
bar by a bouncer, Joel was freaking out, Doug and I followed them outside and proceeded to get into a fight with
some guys ( Doug and I seemed to always get into trouble) Agian Joel was freaking out at us for fighting, always
being the voice of reason, On our way home Joel was yelling at us and Gary was being a wise ass to Joel, not 2
seconds later Joel pulled his car over to kick Gary's ass. I don't think I ever laughed so hard watching Joel go
after Gary, especially after he yelled at us for fighting. Just thinking of the time we had makes me laugh, we
had such fun, I will never forget those times, I love you and miss you joel!!!!!!!!!

After spending only a short time here you can't help but feel as if you knew Joel and were a part of his life
even if, like me, you never actually met him. He clearly was a special person who touched so many lives and meant
so much to so many people. The endless outpouring of heartfelt love and support that is shared throughout this
site is tremendous. Jill, I can't express to you how touched and awed I am by the wonderful tribute to Joel that
you and your family have created.

I am still absolutely amazed at the response to this site. F.Y.I. we get a count summary every week on how many
"hits" this site gets and it averages at 20-40 as opposed to when the benefits are going on (approx.
80-100 hits/week). I am still updating the site constantly with new photos and stories and currently in the process
of getting some video and audio files online. I just want you all to know that it is NEVER too late to sign in
and NEVER too much to keep doing it. That's why this site is here... to keep Joel's memory alive in ALL of us!
He would be so proud and honored. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being so supportive and sharing
with us all your great memories of Joel. I miss you bro, everyday! oxoxo bean

It has taken me a while to visit this web site but I am very happy I have. This is such a beautiful and wonderful
tribute to Joel. Even though I hadn't spoken to Joel in a very long time, this web site reminded me of the smile
he always had and the happiness and laughter he brought to those around him. It brought back memories from high
school -Actually I think I was in junior high school, ninth grade, when I first met Joel. I believe we first met
at Longo's or was it Carvel, or maybe even the "rocks". As commented on by others, I too remember driving
in his white car, and I remember "hanging out" at his house. What always struck me as special was that
often, at the end of the night, the whole family would "hang out" and you could tell how close they all
were. Joel was very special and I feel lucky that he touched my life.

Joely, It's unbelievable how you've permeated so many lives and so many paths. I saw Georgie tonight and we
spoke of you, and remembered a simpiler time when it just seemed easier. You always had a way of making each moment
count and focusing on the good things, the positive things- feeling fortunate for the time and people whose pathes
you crossed. Saw Eric the other night. We talked and connected in a way that would have made you smile. "Why
can't we just get along?" I haven't written you in more than a month, but I've thought of you each day, and
reflected on the importance of your lessons. Ricky wrote a beautiful letter to you, and I think his thoughts are
shared by so many more people than you could possibly imagine, in far reaching ways. You taught lessons by your
actions, and your soul, and your way. I've never met anybody like you, and feel so fortunate and special to call
you my dear friend. I miss you pal. I know your heart is smiling and your spirit abounds. I love you, Toddo.

Dear Joel (Big Bro), I know you are watching over me. I feel you on my right shoulder. I
try and live my life just like you did: To take advantage of each and every day, don't judge, look at the positive
things in people, help others, and smile. The one message that is clear after May 24, 1998 is that we all should
try and live life like you Joel. This world would be a much better place. The more time I have to reflect on your
soul the more I believe you are so much like Mom. I am so lucky to have had you next to me for 29 years. Your physical
presence may be gone for now, but your spiritual presence is with me forever. I know we will be reunited one day,
and that day will be filled with an unimaginable joy. I hope I can carry on your legacy and make you proud to be
my Big Brother and Guiding Light. I miss you so much and love you with all of my heart! Ricky

I find myself visiting this website quite often and not knowing why. I think the amount of love that surrounds
this website is it's attraction to all who come. The amount of love put into the creation and consistent work on
this website, to the love shared throgh the stories posted by the many visitors is incredible. My heart breaks
everytime I see pictures of Joel and imagine all the possibilities and potential that lied ahead of him for certain.
This very website is a 24 hour, 7 day a week constant tribute to a person who truly deserves it. I feel a special
connection to this website, one that I cannot explain and perhaps choose not to. This website is about one thing
and one thing only, LOVE! Joel, you are truly missed!

I have just spent the past hour or so reading all the entries that were made by all of Joel's family and friends.
I honestly log onto Joel's Web Page EVERYTIME I go on line. What's true is true...I CANNOT complete a session of
logging onto this site without my Kleenex close at hand and without learning something new about Joel. I always
notice something new on the site and I KNOW that Jill is the Mastermind behind putting it all together. The outpouring
of LOVE, COMPASSION and SUPPORT from friends and family is TRULY a dedication to you, Joel. You were ALWAYS LOVED
JOEL and you will ALWAYS BE LOVED by family and friends alike. In a world where people can be so cold and uncaring,
it is reassuring to know that you were brought up in a family of caring, sincere, loving people who instilled their
values in all 3 children. The bond that your family has together is very special and what's more important than
that? The Love, Compasssion and Support that you all have given to others throughout your lives is coming full
circle and that is evident in reading all that's in Joel's web site. We ALL, will ALWAYS feel a very strong connection
to your family because of the Love you have given to us. Just working with you at RWP made me feel like a part
of the Pollack Family from day one. Although I go about my daily routines, there are times where I take a moment
and think about Joel in one way or another. I CAN tell you this much...Everytime I go to Temple, I think of Joel.
I can't explain the feeling but I always take a moment and think of him, Jill and his whole family and pray that
G-D gives them the strength to carry on as Joel wouldn't have it any other way, right? As I think of Joel in Temple,
tears always seem to fill up in my eyes and I can see my daughter looking at me with a look of puzzlement in her
face. I explained to her that I was thinking of Joel from RWP, where Joel, Jill and I worked and she understood
exactly what I was feeling. Jill, I'll address this last message to you, my Soul Sista'...I LOVE YOU from the bottom
of my heart, you know that and I know that Joel is giving you and your family the strength to carry on. As far
as what you've done with this web site..."Kol Ha- Kavode"...You'll need someone to translate that "Hebrew"
BUT I am sure you can figure out its English translation. Love to the Entire Pollack & Seibel Family, Your
Friend, Leora

Jill, Ricky & Family, I haven't visited the site in a while, it looks great. It's still hard to visit because
everytime I want to, I can't believe why I want to... I think about Joel a lot, everytime I hear a related story,
everytime I talk about SU, everytime I watch SU on TV or read about the school in the paper, everytime at work
we talk about related issues, especially at the hotel. Joel, I miss you. I just looked at all the pictures from
Syracuse and our apartment, that couch, the Zebes, and all the memories come back. I've received your invites to
the two foundation events and am sorry that I couldn't be at either one. It's hardest being far from friends when
you can't be at an event like this. Joel, I miss you. Happy New Year to all, especially Joel. Joel, I miss you.

Dear Rick and Jill: I have spent my nights since New Years reflecting on the years past. What had come to mind
was 3 years ago when Joel came to Florida on a mini vacation to spend time with dad an me. You know how much I
love to get sun, and dad was not feeling like sitting out that day, so Joel and I went to sit at the pool. I remember
we had so much fun that day talking about everything from family, friends, religion and life in general. I especially
remember Joel bringing tears to my eyes when he was telling me how he felt so close to God, how everything in life
was so ment to be, and how he wanted to experience all he could. Then he blew my mind when he told me he was taking
flying lessons, I sat there with a blank look on my face , until he explained how he felt when he was high above
the clouds, his face lite up like a Christmas Tree. It was then that Joel made me make a promise to him and not
tell anyone. That I told him at first was so hard for me because being a parent as you know I come from a protect
mode but I will honor you Joel. I will always honor you Joel. Your in my heart, and life everyday. Your my angel.
And so so grateful for having all my children in my life. I pray everyday for Joel and God to watch over them.
I love you kids.

I'm sitting here listening to Alanis Morissette Unplugged - Uninvited is on, which makes me think of the benefit
in November. Jill, if it is at all possible, I think you sing it better than she does!! I just wanted to wish you
all a very Happy New Year. May your hearts be filled with love and peace always!
