Joel and his love for animals
Joel had an enormous love for animals.
He always wanted to to be a Vetenarian.
Here are some pictures he kept close to his heart.

Joel and Bella!

Bella (Husky) was Joel's last dog. She died a
couple of months after Joel gave her away
to a family upstate (he felt it was cruel to
keep her in the city). Joel was so upset. He
asked me "Do you think she died of a broken
heart?" and of course the sweet sister that I
am replied "No, she probably died from lead
poisoning after eating the walls of your
apartment"--he laughed, called me a putz,
and then hung up on me. |

where we held someone down (usually Ricky) and Twiggy would lick your face till you peed in your pants. This was
called the Twiggy Torture! |
Joel & Patches
(Our cat Polly, the mother, had a litter of 3 (Whitey, Blacky, & Patches) and we kept them all!...4 dogs, 4
cats, 2 turtles (Joels), and Gerbles (Joels) all at the same time.... Moms the coolest! |

Not very bright but adorable dog. he used to dive to the bottom of the deep end of the pool to retrieve whatever.

how to leave and never come back! But he always did!!!! Right mom? |
