1973 Huntington, LI.: Ricky Healy & Joel with our cat Polly's kittens. Ricky Healy was one of Joel's best friends. Ricky lived right across the street. Joel would signal messages to Ricky with the venetian blinds & Ricky would try to signal back with his pull down shades.
1976 Joel's Barmitzvah. Fun day, Ricky gave "himself" a new haircut and yes it rained. It was in a tent in the backyard. From left to right Uncle Irving (background) Charlie Geiger, Gordon Posner, Ricky Healy, Joel, Joel Levine's back, & Elysa Rose.
Joel, #32 bottom right. It's been a family joke for years when watching old videos of Joel playing football for the wildcats. There is a special clip of Joel taking the ball and running the opposite direction to score a touch down--for the opposing team! Jill was a cheerleader for his team..
age -7.
Jill, Ricky, Paul, Michael, Mrs. Vulpis, Nunzio, Joel and Joe Vulpis. The Vulpis's lived right across the street in Syosset. Joel was best friends with Nunzio, Jill with Joe, and Ricky with Paul Vulpis. Our favorite thing to do was go "skitching"...hang on to the back of a car when lots of snow is on the ground!

Bunk 32 was, in 1974, inhabited by campers Joel Pollack,
Lewis Grossman, Jonathan Grayer, David Ward, David Weinstein,
& Ricky Semel, & counselors David Chamberlain & Miles Erving.
Other campmates include Ken Halperin & Joel Levine.
